PRODUCT WARRANTY POLICY

Warranty for your product starts from the Date of Purchase. Warranty Coverage is valid only with a valid warranty registration done with the company. Warranty is void for any alterations made in product, breakages, unauthorized installations, damage due to misuse, normal wear & tear.

FAQ’s about Warranty :
1. What is Lifetime Warranty?

Teflaa defines life of the product as 15 years. Lifetime warranty means warranty on the Water Softener/Ionizer for 15 years.

2. Who is covered for Warranty?

This warranty extends only to the first consumer purchaser, and is not transferable. Consumers who register for warranty with the company (manual/online at www.teflaa.com) are eligible. Such customers will be given a Life Time Warranty (LTW)/Value Back Benefit (VBB) number which should be preserved and produced as required.

3. What is not covered? (Exclusions)
  1. Product registration: Product not registered for Warranty with Company.
  2. Installation: Product not installed by Authorized service person / authorized service centre. Refer website www.teflaa.com for authorized service centres. Wrong installation.
  3. Consumable Items.
  4. Abuse & Misuse: Defects or damage that results from:
    • Improper operation, storage, misuse or abuse, accident or neglect, such as physical damage.
    • Use of the Products for commercial purposes or subjecting the Product or Accessory to abnormal usage or conditions.
  5. Use of Non-Teflaa Products & Accessories.Defects or damage that result from the use of Non-Teflaa branded Products, Accessories, Spares or other peripheral equipment are excluded from coverage.
  6. Unauthorized Service or Modification. Defects or damages resulting from service, testing, adjustment, installation, maintenance, alteration, including without limitation, Product changes, or modification in any way by someone other than Teflaa India Private Limited, or its authorized service canters, are excluded from coverage.
  7. Altered Products. Products or Accessories with
    • Serial numbers or date tags that have been removed, altered or obliterated.
    • Broken seals or that show evidence of tampering.
    • Mismatched board serial numbers.
    • Nonconforming or non-Elica housings, Filters ,spares or parts, are excluded from coverage.
  8. Erratic Electric supply. Any electronic part gets damaged due to erratic power supply, improperelectrical circuit, are excluded from coverage.
    • Accidents caused due tonon maintenance of the product are excluded from coverage.
4. When does warranty expire?

Warranty will automatically terminate on the expiry of the warranty even if the product may not be in use for any time during the warranty period for any reason, such claims will be excluded from coverage. Incase the product is under Life Time warranty company assumes the life of the product to be 15 years from the date of Purchase. Any change of location or changes in the ownership during the warranty period are excluded from coverage.

5. What is Value Back Benefit (VBB)?

In our effort to delight the customer the company is offering 100% Value Back Benefit ("VBB") in addition to the Life Time Warranty on select models of Teflaa India water softener/lonizer at no additional cost. VBB offers the customers on selected option to change their Softener/lonizer after a period of 5 years, 7 years 10 years and 15 year available the value back benefit as follows.

  • 5 Years: Incase the Customer wishes to change the Softener/lonizer after a period of 5 years from the date of original purchase the customer is entitled to a 25% value benefit of original purchase value of the Softener/lonizer purchased, the rupee value of original purchase price would be reduced from the purchase price of the new Teflaa India Softener/lonizer.
  • 7 Years: In case the Customer wishes to change the Softener/lonizer after a period of 7 years from the date of original purchase the customer is entitled to a 50% value benefit of original purchase value of the Softener/lonizer purchased, the rupee value of original purchase price would be reduced from the purchase price of the new Teflaa India Softener/lonizer.
  • 10 Years: In case the Customer wishes to change the Softener/lonizer after a period of 10 years from the date of original purchase the customer is entitled to a 100% value benefit of original purchase value of the Softener/lonizer purchased, the rupee value of original purchase price would be reduced from the purchase price of the new Teflaa India Softener/lonizer.
  • 15 years: In case the Customer wishes to change the Softener/lonizer after a period of 15 years from the date of original purchase the customer is entitled to a 100% value benefit of original purchase value of the Softener/lonizer purchased, the rupee value of original purchase price would be reduced from the purchase price of the new Teflaa India.
6. When will the Value Back Benefit become null & void?
  • Incase customer fails to register for Life time Warranty Value Back Benefit by filling up the Warranty registration from the manual / online registration on website www.teflaa.com.
  • The completed Value Back Benefit card is not presented to the designated dealer as specified by the company at the time of new purchase.
  • The productis shifted outside India.
7. Is Value Back Benefit Registration & Lifetime Warranty Registration the same?

Yes. Products having Lifetime Warranty also have Value Back Benefit. The registration form and number is the same.

8. What are the terms of Value Back Benefit (VBB)?
  • Valid on purchase of Teflaa Softener/Ionizer only.
  • New product must be equal to or higher than original purchase value.
  • Offer price or MRP at time of purchase applies.
  • Available only to the original purchaser, non-transferable.
  • Valid only on first purchase at retail outlet, not on resale.
  • Cannot be substituted, negotiated, or encashed.
  • Original invoice required for verification.
  • Old Softener/Ionizer must be returned to avail VBB.
  • Available only on select models.
  • Disputes subject to courts in Dehradun/Noida.
  • Company not liable in case of force majeure.
  • Company reserves right to modify/withdraw the scheme without notice.
9. How to obtain Warranty Service or Other Information?

Call TEFLAA India Private Limited, Toll free: 1800 889 8120 (Mon–Sat, 10am–7pm), or email: customercare@teflaa.in.

You must provide:

  • Copy of receipt or proof of purchase.
  • Written description of problem.
  • Warranty Registration Number (LTW/VBB).
  • Installation facility details, your address & phone number.

If repair is on-site, parts under warranty will be replaced free, but service charges apply.

10. Abusive/Wrong Behaviors

If the consumer uses abusive language during service calls, or prevents technician inspection, the warranty will be terminated and future complaints will not be entertained. Restrictive action may be taken against such customers.

11. Replacement
  • Concealed Damage: Report within 8 days of purchase. Visible damage should be refused at delivery.
  • DOA Policy: Out-of-box DOA eligible for exchange within 8 days. After that, service applies.
  • Return Authorization (RA): RA issued within 8 working days. Replacement issued once defective product returned with proofs and packaging. No replacement if inspection is refused.
12. What will Teflaa do when complaint is received?

Authorized service station will inspect. TEFLAA may repair or replace parts, but service charges apply. Equivalent refurbished or new parts may be used. No substitute/standby product will be provided. Installation and demonstration are chargeable.

13. What Other Limitations Are There?

This warranty is effective in Noida. All claims subject to jurisdiction of Noida courts. Existence of disputes does not constitute a claim. Libelous statements will be legally dealt with.

  • Working: Resin-based ion exchange softener with automatic regeneration (3000 LPH).
  • Advantages: High capacity, extends appliance life, prevents scaling, fully automatic.
  • Cautions: Requires salt refilling, install in dry area, not for microbial contamination.

  • Working: Compact cabinet softener (1200–2000 LPH) for homes.

  • Working: Wall-mounted bathroom softener (600 LPH).

  • Working: Sand filtration to remove turbidity and suspended particles.

  • Working: Electrolysis with titanium plates to produce alkaline/acidic water.
  • Advantages: Antioxidant-rich water, multiple pH levels, health-focused.
  • Cautions: Prefilter recommended, not for very hard water, requires electrode cleaning.

  • Working: Portable hydrogen generator via electrolysis.
